Arabic translation: 17 September 1970

Curator's note: This poster refers to "Black September", the outbreak of armed conflict between the Palestinian revolutionary forces in Jordan and the government of King Hussein.

The poster depicts a Palestinian fighter simultaneously fending off three dogs, one representing the IDF, one the American CIA and the other the royalist military of Jordan.

The rifle-toting youth emerging from the sun astride a white horse, which is a symbol of the revolution in Palestinian iconography, represents the next generation of Palestinian fighters who would theoretically be inspired by this heroic representation of the Black September narrative.
