Written and directed by François abū Sālem, the movie talks about women's rights, customs, traditions and concepts of honor in Palestinian society which resulted in the movie facing boycott campaigns and rejection from some entities.

This criticism in turn led Tomorrow's Generation Club to organize a special screening of the movie at the YWCA in Jerusalem following by a discussion about the movie and its director.
