Artist's Statement:
This poster was my entry to the #WeltformatDXB's Exhibition 'Delusions and Errors' which took place in Dubai - UAE.
The poster was inspired by a verse from the late Mahmoud Darwish's famous poem, The Dice Player
The verse talks about hope in the form of mirage to someone who is traveling through the desert looking for water. If it weren't for the illusion, the traveler wouldn't have been able to make it through the hot desert. It describes his journey in the most concise but yet sophisticated way. This idea is one of my favorites.
