Artists' statement: "When I created this poster for the Blue Square Exhibit I dedicated it to my younger brother, Sa'ed Moeen Omar, who was sentenced to ten years imprisonment in Israel's Jalboa prison, in 2004"
Curator's note: The "blue square" that this exhibit draws its name from refers to the patch of blue sky that is visible to the detainees when they leave their cells and enter the courtyard
