Curator's note: The above screen shot presents a Palestine poster under the ADL rubric "Rhetoric on Violence". The ADL text/categorization is an attempt to suggest that by posting, re-tweeting or reproducing Palestine posters from 30, 40 or more years ago is tantamount to calling for violence against Jewish people in the present. 

Would that mean that quoting a New York Times article on the same subject from 30 or 40 years ago would be equally problematic for ADL? 

How does ADL explain the specific quality of a Palestine poster from the past that makes it "inciteful" in the present? 

How might the ADL explain the baffling discordance between its claim that publishing the above poster has the potential to "incite" antisemitism and its decision to re-produce it itself?
