Artists' Statement: This piece was published in the Tel Aviv newspaper H'air (The City) in 1997. It shows the minister of foreign affairs, David Levey, after his meeting with PLO president Yassar Arafat. The headline says: "Shalom Friend" (a take off on President Clinton's words after the Rabin assassination).
The word "friend" is written in Hebrew letters but with the Arabic pronunciation. DT
