During the 2023 Israel-Hamas war, Fetterman expressed steadfast support for Israel. He placed blame for the conflict entirely on Hamas. When confronted by pro-Palestine protesters outside the U.S. Capitol, Fetterman waved an Israeli flag at them. In a separate incident, Fetterman told a pro-Palestine activist she should "be protesting Hamas" instead of Israel. He also blamed TikTok for creating "warped" perceptions of the conflict and widening divisions.
