Artist's Statement
This is my favorite art piece i’ve made yet. originally approached by INDEX, i had total freedom of the piece. i was inspired by the fashion work of INDEX and from within Palestine. i used designs of the Palestinian tatreez and the kuffiyeh, two prominent clothing patterns and garments with history rooted in resistance. This drawing represents the beauty and strength of Palestinian resistance and the freedom that follows it.
The resistance is here to stay. Freedom is within our lifetime.
