Artist's Statement
To confidently believe another “spring” or revolution to the extent of the 2011-14 uprisings in Egypt and the region could ocour anytime in the immediate future would be naive. And it would also be naive to ignore the very real base building and organizing efforts happening in the region and the west - here and now. This drawing is not to illustrate an empty dream, but rather a faithful future.
