In SJP, we emphasize the importance of understanding the history of Palestine and theoretical frameworks so that we can apply it to our conditions as students fighting neoliberal institutions in their efforts to maintain the zionist entity. Additionally, theory provides a theoretical foundation for understanding capitalism and imperialism,contextualizing contemporary issues, and guiding praxis. If we do not know our enemies, and their tactics, liberation will be merely a pipe dream. In order to take down the zionist entity and western imperialism, the people must understand how it functions. Thus, reading is not an aesthetic, it is a tool deployed in the quest to liberation.
