Curator's note:
This poster is a riff a 1989 event in Tiananmen Square caught on camera when a single man, "Tank Man", confronted a row of People's Liberation Army tanks and stood them down.
In that event the man confronted four tanks, all belonging to the PLA.
In the poster above, by the artist Mohammed Afefa, the Palestinian man is confronting a long line of tanks each bearing a different national flag. The first tank flies the flag of Israel, which is carrying out the genocide in Gaza, followed by the flags of those countries that are aiding and abetting Israel. DJW
